Recipe title: «Barbecue & Grilling Recipes: Ideas for a Perfect Summer Menu»

Hey friends!

Here we go, the sunny days are upon us, and with them comes THE moment I’ve been waiting for all year: barbecue season! There’s something magical about cooking outdoors, smelling the delightful scents of grilling wafting through the garden, and sharing a meal simply with those we love. In short, you’ll understand—I’m a fan of barbecue & grilling recipes: ideas for a perfect summer menu!

So, I’ve gathered my best recipes to help you succeed in your barbecues and grilling this summer. And beware, I haven’t just focused on meats: for me, a good barbecue also includes delightful sides, enjoyable appetizers, and refreshing salads that bring a burst of freshness. In short, it’s a complete menu to delight everyone!

Why barbecue is so much more than just a cooking method

Honestly, if I love barbecuing so much, it’s not just for the taste (though that matters, right!). It’s primarily for the atmosphere that comes with it. We take the table outside, set up the chairs, prepare some appetizers, and voilà—the meal becomes a shared experience that lasts for hours. It’s friendly, it’s laid-back, and it embodies summer in all its glory!

And let’s be real: it’s also so much practical. No oven heating up the kitchen, minimal dishwashing, and everyone can help out. The dream when entertaining!

My essential recipes for a successful barbecue

I have selected 11 of my favorite recipes to create memorable barbecues. You will find everything from marinated meats that melt in your mouth to side dishes that break away from the usual chips, appetizers to nibble on while waiting for the coals to be ready, and salads that provide a refreshing contrast. Click on the one that makes you eager to discover the full recipe!

How to create a barbecue menu that everyone will love?

Start with an appetizer that whets the appetite.

It’s my little secret to keep everyone entertained while the embers heat up: a lovely aperitif! Some homemade savory pastries, fresh guacamole with tortilla chips, crispy samosas to nibble on… And there you go, the atmosphere is set, no one is getting impatient, and we can take our time to do things right.

Bet on marinated meats

If I had only one piece of advice for successful grilling, it would be this: marinate your meats. It makes all the difference! The marinated chicken drumsticks in barbecue sauce, the honey and coriander tenderloin, and the gently simmered pulled pork… With a little foresight, you can transform simple cuts into absolutely unforgettable dishes. Plus, well-marinated meat stays tender and juicy, even if it lingers on the grill a bit too long!

Take care of the sides

For me, this is where it truly shines. Grilled meat is great, but with fantastic sides, it becomes a real feast. Crispy smashed potatoes cooked to perfection, a cherry tomato and burrata tart for a fresh touch, a pasta salad with grilled vegetables… Vary the textures and colors, and your guests will adore you!

Don’t forget the freshness

When it’s hot and your belly is full of grilled food, nothing beats a good salad to balance the meal. For example, the Thai beef salad adds that spicy and refreshing note that awakens the taste buds. It’s also my little trick for using up barbecue leftovers the next day!

Anticipate as much as possible

My last piece of advice, and certainly not the least: prepare as much as you can in advance. Marinate the day before, make the sauces and salads in the morning, and prepare the appetizers a few hours ahead… That way, on the big day, you can simply enjoy your guests instead of running around in every direction. Believe me, it’s the secret to a calm and successful barbecue!
