Pork tenderloins marinated in Barbecue Sauce

Hello friends,

As we welcome the beginning of autumn 2025, two recipes have particularly captured your attention on the blog: the marinated chicken drumsticks with barbecue sauce and the pork tenderloin with honey and coriander. I wanted to create a blend of the two to offer you a synthesis of what you’re loving right now…

Here are my pork tenderloins marinated in barbecue sauce!

A result that meets my expectations

Honestly, I didn’t have many doubts about the success of this gourmet combination. It’s true… but I must say that this union of two recipes works wonderfully! The pork tenderloins are perfectly tender and flavorful, while the barbecue sauce adds an incredible kick to the dish. It’s a delight!

I did make a few modifications since chicken and pork cook differently… 😉

Pork tenderloins marinated in barbecue sauce: an easy and quick recipe

The good news continues with this recipe! Yes, it is very quick to prepare and ultra-simple. It’s everything we love for a meal with family or friends.

This is also a recipe you can proudly serve for a celebration or special event, which is why I categorize it among the « celebration recipes. » I feel you’re going to thank me…

The steps for making pork tenderloins marinated in barbecue sauce

There are two or three steps, depending on how you look at it… Let me explain…

First, you’ll prepare a marinade that mainly consists of spices, garlic, tomato paste, barbecue sauce, and a few other key ingredients that will make a difference…

Then, you can place your tenderloins in the oven immediately, coated with this marinade. However (and this is where the possible third step comes into play), I recommend letting the fillets marinate for at least 30 minutes, covered in the marinade, so the meat absorbs even more of the delicious flavors of the sauce. If you have the time, I highly encourage you to do this!

How to accompany your marinated pork tenderloins with barbecue sauce

You have a plethora of choices here! From the simplest to the more elaborate sides, many ingredients pair wonderfully with this dish. I can’t list everything, but I’ll try to open up the realm of possibilities!

Clearly, pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables will work perfectly. The sauce from your pork tenderloins will delicately coat them, and your taste buds will be pleased. But it would be a shame to limit yourself to just that…

To elevate it a bit, I suggest considering some delicious mashed options… such as traditional mashed potatoes, sweet potato mash, parsnip puree, celery puree with bacon, or butternut squash puree. We’re already on the right track!

For something more sophisticated, why not try my sauté of 9 vegetables with savory crumble, candied fennel with tomato, or a pumpkin crumble? You’re sure to find the perfect match among these options!

One last tip to ensure success with my recipe every time

The key element in this recipe is mastering the cooking process. There are two factors to consider. The first is quite straightforward: the size of your tenderloins. I recommend using pieces of meat that are uniform in size and thickness to achieve even cooking and avoid having an overcooked fillet or an undercooked one.

The second factor is your oven. Every oven is different, and baking temperatures or times can vary. If you’re familiar with your oven, you may need to adjust the cooking time (a bit more or less) if your oven tends to heat more or less. The best practice when trying a recipe for the first time is to check by making a small incision 5 minutes before the end of cooking to « take the temperature »!

The necessary utensils:

A large dish,

A spatula (or a spoon),

Ideally a brush to spread the sauce evenly on the tenderloins,

A baking tray,

And parchment paper.

Nothing more… Above all, don’t hesitate to leave a comment to share your thoughts. I think I’ve covered everything…

The recipe, Chef!
